All proceeds of Soul’s Journey Home will go to The Music Therapy Program in support of SICK KIDS.
The album, LISBETH is named after my late wife who was a lovely and loving, kind Swedish lady.
We were together for 36 years before she passed away from leukemia on November 29, 2011. LISBETH, contains 12 original songs inspired by Lisbeth’s love for life. The recordings are infused with our mutual love and respect for one another, recorded and released in honour of her giving nature , her love , warmth and the kindness she extended to all those she knew; touching their lives and changing them with her gentle compassion.
She and I were very comforted by the charity the extraordinary kindness and professional care she received at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. While there, we spoke bedside about using the music on LISBETH to somehow help in any way possible the hospital, its patients and their families who’ve been touched by cancer.
Just as Lisbeth never stopped giving, reaching out and helping others with their struggles and concerns in life I believe Princess Margaret has the same objective. It will always remain a “City of Caring” in my mind and heart.
It is my sincere wish by depositing all of the proceeds from the sale of this album to the Lisbeth Moore Leukemia Fund that Princess Margaret may continue to make important strides in finding a cure for cancer and in offering support, treatment and counseling to those many of us here and abroad whose lives have been affected by it. We are fortunate to have Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in our city to help all of us deal with the aftermath of a cancer diagnosis.
On behalf of Lisbeth and myself,
James Bruce Moore
